Baby Bow Booties Free Pattern

I saw lot of baby shoes patterns, could not decide which one to use so finally mixed them together to make this one 😉 I had made notes which I am sharing with all of you.

I have used two colors but you can work in single color it’s totally upto your choice.

The pattern is not tested so please inform if any errors.

ch – chain

sts, st – stitches, stitch

hdc – half double crochet

dc – double crochet

hdc2tog – hdc 2 together (decrease)

dc2tog – dc 2 together (decrease)

tr – treble crochet
Sole is of 9cm which will fit a newborn, pattern is here.

Once you are ready with sole, follow the pattern for body of the booties.

Join yarn to center of the sole in the back loop keeping the wrong side of sole facing up. You find the center by folding the sole length wise.

R1: Ch1, hdc in each st around and join to the first hdc.

R2: ch1, hdc in same st and in next 14 sts, (hdc2tog in next st, hdc in next st) repeat () 4 more times so total 5 set of (hdc2tog, hdc), hdc in remaining sts and join with sl st to first hdc

R3: ch1, sc in same st and in next 14 sts, hdc in next st, dc2tog x 6 times, hdc in next st, sc in remaining sts, join with sl st to the first sc.

For strap: we need to make 4 hdc and then band with a loop. Sew button on other end.

Work 4 hdc in the center of the sole and ch 26, slst to 6th ch from the hook and sl st further down the ch, sl st in the bottom of hdc and finish off. See button and weave in the ends.

Remember to make the band and loop on opposite side for 2nd shoe.

Bow: make 2, one for each shoes.

In magic circle, ch4 and 3 tr, ch4 and sl st in circle,

Ch4, 3tr, ch4 and slst in the circle. Cut off yarn leaving a little extra yarn to wind around the bow.

Sew the bow on shoes. Place the bow and decide how you would like it. I sewed them just before the set of dc2tog started.
